The Joshua Tree Experiential Arts & Writing Retreat

11/17/2017 - 4:30pm
Poetry/Creative Nonfiction

You are invited to this 3-day retreat for participating artists and writers to encounter a series of experiential workshops in Joshua Tree, California. Retreat activities encourage daily personal inquiry and the development of a culturally and environmentally conscious body of work which can be submitted for inclusion in an annual print and online anthology. Rather than seek an exact definition of the desert, this retreat is designed to inspire questions about what the desert is and what it may represent for you. Our purpose is multifold: generate new work, form a transient community, and meet the intersection between creative praxis and natural landscape.
