It is my pleasure to offer the second annual Fallbrook Writing Retreat June 25-28, 2020. This year’s retreat was an absolute blast, and I heard wonderful things from the participants.
I am reserving a large home/retreat in the San Diego area, either Fallbrook Farms or a similar retreat space.
The registration fee of $825 will include three meals a day, 3-night lodging and four 2.5 hour generative workshops plus two mini-workshops by a faculty of accomplished authors.
I am thrilled to announce our 2020 faculty: Diana Arterian, Nicelle Davis, Tresha Faye Haefner, Douglas Manuel and myself.
If you want to save a room for yourself please send your payment in full or send $250 as a down payment with the rest due by March 2020. If you want to share your room with a friend, the down payment from both of you would be $250 total ($125 each) and the price of the room to split would be $850, a great deal at only $425 a person.
Do not hesitate to reply with questions. I will do my best to answer them.
Here are some testimonials from past participants: The workshops were great: dense, inspiring, introduced me to new poetry and poets, new approaches. They stretched me in so many ways. The camaraderie and sense of trust and safety were extraordinary to achieve so easily and quickly. Thank you for facilitating that. The views, scenery - and that sunset double rainbow! I was highly impressed with the preparation, intelligence, and enthusiasm of the teachers. They were all passionate about poetry and eager to share insights, tricks, their personal experiences in order to bring out the best in the participants. Arminé, who also taught, put her heart into every detail to ensure that it was a positive experience for all. I came away with enough prompts, ideas, and poetry drafts to last a lifetime, or, at least until next June, when I intend to attend again.

From the gorgeous location to the incredible host to the open and engaged participants, this retreat/workshop was excellent. What a gift this weekend was to my teaching and writing selves! I recommend it highly!!

I liked the variety of the workshops and that the teachers were excited to share them. All of the workshop leaders were well-prepared and presented the information with clarity. We were challenged just enough to be out of our comfort zones which lead to new discoveries. A safe space was created and vulnerability between "strangers who became friends." I will be processing and using what I learned for years to come. Armine is a great host attentive to everyone's needs, so people felt comfortable. The location is amazing with beautiful vistas in all directions; away, yet near the town.
