Colson Whitehead is the author of nine books of fiction and nonfiction, including The Underground Railroad, which was a #1 New York Times bestseller and won the Pulitzer Prize as well as the National Book Award. A recipient of MacArthur and Guggenheim Fellowships, he lives in New York City.
