Award-winning poet Maria Fama will read from her published works, including Mystics in the Family and her most recent book, Looking for Cover, both from Bordighera Press. Ms. Fama has shaped a compelling poetic voice from her experiences as a woman, as an Italian American of Sicilian descent, and as a participant in a multicultural society that celebrates the interconnectedness of all peoples. Her poetry stirs the emotions while exploring the ancient cultures of ritual prayers, the oral traditions of story telling, and the authenticity of family life and the human condition. Distinguished poet Maria Fama lives and works in Philadelphia. The Series is sponsored by the Cape May County Library and is free and open to the public. Book Signing and Open Reading to follow as time permits.
