Join Exile in Bookville to help celebrate Melanie Finn’s newest book The Hare! Melanie will be in conversation with Claire Fuller.

Melanie Finn, author of Away From You, The Underneath, and The Gloaming, was born and raised in Kenya and the US. Her newest novel The Hare (Two Dollar Radio) publishes January 26, 2021. The Gloaming was a New York Times Notable Book of 2016, a finalist for the Vermont Book Award and the Guardian’s “Not the Booker” Prize. The writer and producer of the DisneyNature wildlife epic The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos, she is also the co-founder and director of the Tanzanian-based charity Natron Healthcare. She and her family live on a remote hill in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.

Claire Fuller is the prize-winning author of four novels: Our Endless Numbered Days, Swimming Lessons, Bitter Orange, and her latest, Unsettled Ground, which will be published by Tin House in May 2021. Claire also writes flash fiction and short stories. Many have been published, and she has won the BBC Opening Lines short story competition, and the Royal Academy / Pin Drop prize. She lives in Hampshire, England with her librarian husband and a cat called Alan.
