Job Title: Visiting Assistant Professor of English, Modern British Literature

Position Status: Full-time 1 Year
The Department of English at Colorado College seeks a one-year visiting assistant professor or lecturer in modern British literature. Applicants should be prepared to teach a range of courses featuring key works and authors within a broad liberal arts curriculum. We welcome those applicants with a subspecialization in one or more of the following areas: Irish, Scottish or Welsh literature, twentieth-century and/or contemporary poetry and prose, LGBTQ studies, or disability studies. Applicants should have undergraduate classroom teaching experience and Ph.D. in hand by August 2018, and should demonstrate experience and effectiveness in teaching, mentoring, and inspiring students representing a broad range of classes, genders, races, ethnicities, nationalities, sexual orientations, and religions.
