The Department of English at Colgate University invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in early modern poetry, beginning fall semester 2020. Completion of Ph.D. is expected prior to or shortly after the date of hire. The teaching assignment of five courses will include our introductory-level course in British poetry and an intermediate-level course in Milton. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to Colgate’s Core Curriculum.
