Visiting position in Creative Writing-Fiction. 3-3 teaching load with one-year appointment beginning August 2022. MFA or PhD degree in Creative Writing with significant national publication and at least one book of fiction in print or under contract required. Demonstrated teaching excellence required, as well as willingness and ability to serve on graduate advisory and exam committees. Teaching assignments will primarily be in creative writing/fiction but may include composition or other courses as departmental needs require. Additional publication and teaching expertise in creative nonfiction desirable. Candidates are encouraged to describe in their cover letters how diversity issues have been or will be brought into courses and/or to describe previous activities mentoring women or members of underrepresented groups.
Salary competitive and commensurate with experience. OSU offers the BA, MA, and the PhD in English with emphasis in creative writing.
