Tenure-Track Position in Creative Writing, Fiction or Poetry

POSITION: Full-time, tenure-track position in Department of English beginning Fall 2018

QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. or M.F.A. in Creative Writing with an emphasis in Fiction or Poetry with a record of publication in creative writing. Experience teaching first-year composition and general education literature courses also desired.

ACADEMIC RANK: Assistant or Associate Professor, dependent on qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES: Candidate will teach a range of creative writing courses, as well as first-year composition and our foundations literature course. May have the opportunity to help to develop and teach in an MFA program. Teaching load is 12 hours each semester, with optional summer teaching available.

COMPENSATION: Compensation is competitive and dependent upon education and experience. Benefits include retirement (TIAA/CREF) and insurance plans.
