Marketing Manager (F/M/D)
Boston, MA  |  Full-Time (100%)  |  At the earliest possible date

This is a critical role in developing and delivering strong go-to-market strategies, creating compelling positioning and messaging, and building thought leadership around the Americas De Gruyter Business Plan.

Your tasks:

  • Identify and deploy direct marketing strategies using automated principles regionally
  • Drive sales and leads to current product portfolios 
  • Gap analysis, looking for new leads and opportunities 
  • Market research to understand the needs of the customers and latest trends
  • Plan and execute conference strategy, goal setting, liaison with sales colleagues, and reporting
  • Leverage social media channels 
  • Create marketing materials in close collaboration with your sales colleagues
  • Marketing analytics to track and analyze ROI of campaigns and develop the knowledge to know when to course correct and shift strategy
  • Manage campaigns on time and within budget

Your profile:

  • Minimum three to five years of experience in the academic publishing industry, preferably in marketing
  • Demonstrated marketing success of assigned product through campaign planning, goal setting, collaboration
  • Experience with marketing automation tools, campaign analytics, and CRM
  • Strong communication, organization, and multi-tasking skills
  • Analytical mindset and commercial drive
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience working closely with Sales and Editorial
  • Experience working in intercultural teams is of advantage
