Looking for Children’s Creative Writing Instructors focusing on prose.
Our current needs are for traditionally published writers interested in teaching children in grades 3-12. Our classes are fun, interactive, and NOT school-like! We emphasize creativity over academic rigor and focus on key narrative writing elements (character, plot, setting, dialogue, etc.) over sentence structure, spelling, punctuation, and pre-ordained academic form.
Our children's instructors do not have to write for children to teach children. But they must be able to access the child within to create a fun, encouraging environment to help kids discover their unique voices and creativity.
Our instructors are experts at recognizing the good in every student’s writing and finding ways to bring it to its own best level. We are not looking for classroom teachers, but rather writers who can teach.
We are not looking for poetry instructors at this time.
- Published by a traditional press, small press, or in recognized magazines or literary journals.
