Pioneer Valley Books is actively seeking new authors and illustrators to help us in the important work of providing children with high-quality books used in an educational setting. At this time, we are focused on ensuring more equitable representation in our materials and actively looking to develop books by authors and illustrators from underrepresented communities. Currently we are working on a project for grades 3–6 and are seeking both fiction and nonfiction manuscripts and illustrators. Manuscript specs are as follows: short fictional stories ranging from 650–850 words (all genres) and nonfiction ranging from 650-850 words. For artwork, we are looking primarily for a more realistic style. Please send manuscripts/art samples to email@example.com, along with your name, contact info, and age range of target audience.
