Assistant Professor of English (Creative Writing)

The Department of English and World Languages at Augusta University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in English specializing in Creative Writing (Young Adult, Graphic Novel, and/or Speculative Fiction) at the Assistant Professor level beginning in Fall 2022. Acknowledging the importance of building a faculty that reflects the lived experiences of our students, we are particularly interested in candidates whose work is informed by diverse perspectives, including issues of race, culture, sex, and gender.

Minimum Requirements:

An MFA or PhD in Creative Writing (or English with a concentration in Creative Writing); significant publications; and experience teaching at the university level.

Preferred Qualifications:

At least one book publication from a reputable publisher (may be under contract); strong publications in a secondary genre or area of professional and technical writing; experience advising and mentoring students. Experience with online teaching is also desirable.
