Assistant Professor of Creative Writing, Fiction

The BFA Program in Creative Writing and the Division of Humanities at the University of Maine at Farmington invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Creative Writing, with an emphasis in Fiction, beginning fall, 2020. Teaching load three-three, including intermediate and advanced fiction workshops, introductory multi-genre courses, occasional literature courses and workshops in other genres, one section of First-Year Composition each year, and one section of Senior Seminar (the creative writing capstone) every other year. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will advise undergraduates, participate in departmental service, mentor student writers, and join in sustaining and developing our active, nationally-recognized BFA Program in Creative Writing, affiliated with Alice James Books.
