Assistant Professor, English (Creative Writing)

Gannon University's College of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences invites applications for the nine-month tenure track position of Assistant Professor in the Department of English to begin August 2019. Requirements include a Master of Fine Arts with a creative writing specialization or a PhD with a creative writing specialization. Experience teaching first-year writing and skills in technology are essential. The successful candidate will teach primarily liberal core courses in first-year writing with additional writing and digital humanities courses at the undergraduate level.

Erie is a major tourist destination boasting 11 beaches, a wide variety of seasonal activities, professional sports teams, a professional symphony, multiple venues for live theater and music, and many other entertainment options. Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Buffalo are within a two-hour drive.
