Administrative Assistant

Pacific University's low-residency MFA in Writing program is seeking to hire an administrative assistant, responsible for coordinating administrative activities and performing clerical duties. Position is full-time and requires travel to twice-yearly residencies, which involve weekend work.

Apply to join a small and nimble and collaborative staff located in Portland's Pearl District (though currently working remotely) whose work supports the creative lives of our students and faculty, including Ellen Bass, Kwame Dawes, Claire Dederer, Pete Fromm, Mahtem Shiferraw, Willy Vlautin, and others. Main responsibilities include bookkeeping and budget monitoring; tracking student progress; updating and maintaining student files in FileMaker; and recuriting, scheduling, and managing work-study students and contractors.
