Adjunct Professor of English, Rhetoric and Composition

The School of Arts and Sciences at Tiffin University invites applications for an adjunct professor of English in Rhetoric and Composition, beginning in Fall 2020 (August). The candidate should have experience in teaching all levels of freshman writing, and it is preferable if the candidate is experienced at the developmental level. 

Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary appointments, assigned per semester and on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications for the Job:

Education: 

Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level. 
Evidence of effective teaching to diverse learners and experience in promoting and fostering a supportive learning environment using a variety of methodologies are a plus. 

Experience: 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; 
A record of integrity and leadership; 
Evidence of effective teaching to diverse learners and experience in promoting and fostering a supportive learning environment using a variety of methodologies are a plus.

Physical Requirements: 

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, and communicate for long hours.
