Author's Bio

Wawa (also published as Lo Mei Wa) is a Hong Kong poet. She received her Bachelor's from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and her Master's from Universiteit Leiden, Netherlands, both in Philosophy with a specialization in Friedrich Nietzsche. She has been a soprano (trained under Hong Kong soprano Margaret Yim), an indie singer, a lyricist, an art and design magazine editor, a philosophical counselling assistant, and a cowherd in Hong Kong. Some of her work can be found in Cha: An Asian Literary Journal, Guernica Daily, The Margins, Hawai'i Review, Apogee Journal, the anthologies Quixotica: Poems East of La Mancha and Hong Kong 20/20. Her collaborative work with artists has been featured in various art exhibits in Hong Kong and Glasgow. She is the author of Pei Pei the Monkey King (Tinfish Press, 2016). She resided in Köln and Pengchau, now lives in Honolulu, Hawai'i.
