A native of Tennessee, poet Laurie Perry Vaughen is a recent graduate of the Sewanee School of Letters at the University of the South. Vaughen's poems have been featured at ASLE (Association for the Study of Literature and the Environment), Georgia Center for the Book, Emma Bell Miles Symposium on Southern Appalachian Nature and Culture, and Word of [South] Festival of Literature and Music. Vaughen is Associate Editor of Steel Toe Review, based in Birmingham.
