The 2018 U.S. Poets in Mexico Conference will be held from January 7 to January 12, 2018, at ESAY in Mérida, Yucatan, Mexico. The conference features workshops in poetry and translation, talks, and nightly readings. The faculty includes poets C. A. Conrad, Hoa Nguyen, Joshua Edwards, Dale Smith, writer, vocalist and sound artist LaTasha N. Nevada Diggs, and translator David Shook. Featured Mexican poets include Daniela Camacho, José Eugenio Sánchez and Xánath Caraza. Tuition, which includes workshops, a city tour, discussions, and a manuscript consultation, is $750. Lodging is available at the nearby Hotel Caribe for approximately $60 per night. Evening readings are free and open to the public.
