The 48th annual University of North Dakota Writers Conference will be held from March 22 to March 24 on the University of North Dakota campus in Grand Forks, North Dakota. This year’s theme is “Citizen.” The conference features workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as panel discussions and readings. Participating authors and editors include poets Mai Der Vang and Layli Long Soldier; fiction writers NoViolet Bulawayo, Jennine Capó Crucet, and Viet Thanh Nguyen; and editor Jeff Shotts of Graywolf Press. Most events will be held at the university’s Memorial Union, and all events are free and open to the public.
