Toni Margarita Plummer attended the University of Notre Dame, where she is on the Hispanic Alumni Board, and the Master of Professional Writing Program at the University of Southern California. She is on the board of directors for Kweli Journal, an online literary journal. An editor at a major publishing house, she lives in Brooklyn.
