The Writer’s Hotel 2017 NYC Writer's Conference will be held from June 7 to June 13 in New York City at the Bryant Park Hotel, the Library Hotel, the Algonquin Hotel, and the Cassa Hotel. The master class offers workshops, craft lectures, panels, and seminars in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as readings, one-on-one meetings with agents, and walking tours of New York City. The faculty includes poets Richard Blanco, Tina Chang, Wesley McNair, and Tim Seibles; fiction writers Shanna McNair, Rick Moody, Francine Prose, Roxana Robinson, and Scott Wolven; and nonfiction writers Mark Doty, Elyssa East, and Saïd Sayrafiezadeh. Guest lecturers include editors Kevin Larimer of Poets & Writers and Carey Salerno of Alice James Books. Attendees receive comprehensive pre-conference editing services with Shanna McNair and Scott Wolven. Conference attendees also have opportunities to read their work at venues around New York City. The cost of tuition is $2,500. Lodging is not included. Using the online submission system, submit the first 15 poems of a poetry manuscript or the first 5,000 words of a prose manuscript not exceeding 20 pages with a $20 application fee by April 1.
