The 2018 Writer’s Hotel NYC Writers Conference will be held from June 6 to June 12 in New York City at the Roger Smith Hotel, the Library Hotel, the Casablanca Hotel, and the Algonquin Hotel. The conference features workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as genre labs, lectures on craft and publishing, readings, meetings with agents and editors, and walking tours of New York City. The faculty includes poets Cornelius Eady, Kimiko Hahn, Marie Howe, Naomi Shihab Nye, and Tim Seibles; fiction writers Jill Bialosky, Elyssa East, Elizabeth Hand, Sapphire, Shanna McNair, and Scott Wolven; and nonfiction writers Elyssa East, Rob Spillman, and Marion Winik. Guest lecturers include editor Carey Salerno of Alice James Books and agent Erin Harris of Folio Literary Management. Conference attendees will each receive a pre-conference full manuscript reading and consultation, including extensive commentary and a follow-up phone call with Shanna McNair and Scott Wolven, and each will have opportunities to read their work at KGB Bar, Bowery Poetry, or Cornelia Street Café in New York City. The cost of the conference is $3,000. Lodging and meals are not included.
