The 2019 Writer’s Hotel NYC Writers Conference will be held from June 5 to June 11 in New York City at the Bryant Park Hotel, the Roger Smith Hotel, the Library Hotel, the Casablanca Hotel, and the Algonquin Hotel. The conference features workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as lectures on craft and publishing, readings, meetings with agents and editors, and walking tours of New York City. The faculty includes poets Tina Chang, Cornelius Eady, Juan Felipe Herrera, and Alexandra Oliver; fiction writers Elyssa East, Jeffrey Ford, Elizabeth Hand, Shanna McNair, Rick Moody, Lewis Robinson, and Scott Wolven; and nonfiction writers Meghan Daum, Richard Hoffman, and Rob Spillman. Guest lecturers include editors Kevin Larimer (Poets & Writers) and Carey Salerno (Alice James Books), and agent Steven Salpeter (Curtis Brown). Conference attendees will each receive a pre-conference manuscript consultation with Shanna McNair and Scott Wolven, and will have opportunities to read their work at venues around New York City. The cost of the conference is $3,000. Lodging and meals are not included.
