Sari Friedman

Author's Bio

I’m an American writer who is currently living in Israel. I came here, in part, to finish writing my first novel, which is about a woman who starts remembering her past life 4,000 years ago in the Land of Canaan (ancient Israel). She meets the revered biblical icons Abraham, Sarah, and Hagar. This was the period when monotheism began. I've been nominated for Pushcarts, earned an MFA in Fiction from Columbia University, and recently won a grant from the Israeli Ministry of Culture’s Committee for Exceptional Artists. My novel (finished now, but not yet published) is represented by Rena Rossner of the Deborah Harris Agency (Jerusalem), which represents the top writers in the Mideast from every religion and tribe: Jewish, Christian, Bahai, Druze etc. I'm writing my second novel, which is about a sex-trafficked teen in Berkeley, CA. I love reading, writing, pretty much every animal I meet, vermiculture, bees, chocolate, popcorn, pinot grigio and three garlic-stuffed-olive martinis, not in that order.
