The fifth annual Ridgefield Writers Conference was held from September 22 to September 23 at the Ridgefield Library in Ridgefield, Connecticut. The conference featured workshops in fiction and creative nonfiction, panel discussions, and opportunities to query agents. The faculty included fiction writers Chris Belden and Hollis Seamon, and creative nonfiction writers Adele Annesi, Jamie Cat Callan, James M. Chesbro, and Peter Selgin. Nonfiction writer Carlos Eire delivered the keynote. Participating publishing professionals included agents Diana Finch (Diana Finch Literary) and Alec Shane (Writers House); editors Colin Hosten (Woodhall Press), Eric Kampmann (Midpoint Trade Books), David LeGere (Globe Pequot Press), and Joe Pan (Brooklyn Arts Press); and book marketing consultant Brian Jud (Book Marketing Matters). The cost of the conference was $195. To apply, writers submitted one page of prose by September 15. Applications were considered on a rolling basis; there was no application fee.
