The program fully funds all students. The program offers teaching assistantships, fellowships, paid administrative positions, as well as paid editorial positions with Sycamore Review.

The program hosts four to six guest readers each year and brings two visiting writers to campus each year to work independently with students. Students also have the opportunity to teach workshops in the community at libraries and other local venues through the Looseleaf Writing Workshop Series.

The application fee is $60 for domestic students and $75 for international students.
