The 2013 Prague Summer Program was held from June 30 to July 27 at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. The conferences offered two- and four-week workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as classes in literature, Jewish studies, yoga, and photography and a lecture and reading series. Graduate and undergraduate students who completed four weeks of study could earn up to seven hours of fully transferable academic credit from Western Michigan University. The faculty included poet Stuart Dybek; fiction writers Patricia Hampl, Melissa Pritchard, and Jaimy Gordon; and creative nonfiction writer Richard Katrovas. Tuition was $4,495 for all four-week options, $3,295 for all two-week options. Scholarships and fellowships were available; to apply, writers submitted up to five poems totaling no more than 10 pages or 10 pages of prose and contact information for one reference by February 15.
