The 2018 Paris Writers’ Workshop was held from June 24 to June 30 at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) headquarters in Paris. The program featured daily master classes in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, panels, author and student readings, literary walks, agent consultations, and social events. The faculty included poet Kathleen Spivack; fiction writers Lan Samantha Chang and Alecia McKenzie; and creative nonfiction writer Lise Funderburg. The cost of the program, not including lodging or meals, was €750 (approximately $838) before May 1 and €800 (approximately $903) thereafter. The program was open to writers of all levels. Writers submitted five to 10 poems totaling no more than 10 pages or 10 to 20 pages of prose. There was no application fee.
