The program offers tracks in screenwriting and young adult fiction in addition to poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. Students can also take an additional concentration in professional writing, pedagogy, or literary magazine edition and production.

Students attend two 10-day residencies each year, in January and July, at the Oklahoma City University campus in Oklahoma City.

The priority application deadline is September 15 for the January residency and March 15 for the July residency. The final application deadline is November 15 for the January residency and June 1 for the July residency.
