Author's Bio

Mary Lou Buschi holds an MFA in poetry from the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College and a Master of Science in Urban Education from Mercy College. Mary Lou's poems have appeared or are appearing in FIELD, Willow Springs, PING PONG, IR, Four Way Review, SIR, Cream City Review, Thrush, Radar, Ploughshares, among others. Mary Lou has been nominated for Best New Poets 2014 and was a finalist for Best of Net Anthology, 2014 nominated by Radar Poetry. She was also a finalist for the Larry Levis book prize through Four Way Books. Mary Lou’s 3rd full-length collection, Blue Physics will be published by Lily Poetry Review Books (2024). She has received fellowships from The Santa Fe Writer’s Conference, Vermont Studio Center, and The New York City Teaching Fellows. Mary Lou has been nominated for The Big Apple teaching Award 4 times. Mary Lou is a full-time special education teacher working with adolescents with autism.
