The Martha’s Vineyard Writers Residency offered residencies of two to six weeks twice yearly to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. The last residency period was September 17 through October 31. Residents were provided with a private room, bath, and work space at the Noepe Center, a historic house located in Edgartown, Massachusetts. The cost of the residency was $350 per week or $1,400 for one month. Residents were responsible for their own transportation and meals. Some scholarships were available. Using the online submission system, writers submitte up to six poems or no more than 20 pages of prose, a statement of purpose, and a brief bio with a $10 application fee. Admissions were made on a rolling basis. E-mail or visit the website for an application and complete guidelines.
