Lighthouse Lit Fest

Denver, Colorado

The tenth annual Lighthouse Lit Fest was held from June 5 to June 19 at the Lighthouse Writers Workshop in Denver, Colorado. The conference featured workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as craft classes, one-on-one consultations, publishing panels, and readings. Participating writers included poets Kim Addonizio and Major Jackson; fiction writers Steve Almond, Robin Black, Andrew Dubus III, and Mat Johnson; and nonfiction writers Meghan Daum and Emily Rapp. Tuition was $800 for a weeklong workshop, and $480 for a weekend workshop. Lodging was available at nearby hotels and inns for a discounted rate. Writers submitted three poems or up to 10 pages of prose with a $20 application fee by March 15.
