Author's Bio

BIO: LB Sedlacek is the author of 13 chapbooks, the latest of which (“Mars or Bust,” “Hey Astro!,” and “Infra Dig (It’s a Chemical Life)”) were successfully funded poetry projects on Kickstarter. In 2001, she created and still publishes “The Poetry Market E-zine,” a free monthly resource for poets. In 2017, she created a local Facebook page for local poetry (@poetryinla) which has inspired the poetry chapbook and E-book “Only in LA (LA poems).” She has a BA in Business and a MA in Speech, Communications and Theatre Arts. She is also a former Poetry Editor for “ESC! Magazine” and co-hosted the small press podcast “Coffee House to Go” for several years with Michael Potter. Her poems have appeared in numerous publications such as “Big Pulp,” “Branches,” “Tales of the Talisman,” “The Broken Plate,” “Pure Francis,” “Mastodon Dentist,” and others. She is also a Part-Time Lifeguard, Editor, Publisher, Poem Critic, and Short Fiction Author. In her free time, she enjoys swimming and volunteering for her local humane society.
