The 39th annual Kentucky Women Writers Conference will be held on September 15 and September 16 at the Carnegie Center in Lexington. The conference features workshops and craft talks in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. The faculty includes poets Natalie Diaz, Camille Dungy, and Kristi Maxwell; fiction writers Claire Vaye Watkins and Kayla Rae Whitaker; and nonfiction writers Jessica Handler, Elena Passarello, and Melynda J. Price. Participating agents include Elaine Trevorrow (EMT Agency). Tuition, which includes conference registration and a workshop, is $200. General registration, without a workshop, is $125; the cost for students is $30. Manuscript consultations with a literary agent are available for an additional $45; apply by August 11.
