Julia Wendell

Aiken, SC 29801

Author's Bio

Julia has recently left Maryland after 35 post MFA degree at the Iowa Writers' Workshop, for Aiken,South Carolina, taking with her 5 horses, one dog, one cat, one goldfish, and one husband, poet, Barrett Warner. Her two grown kids, John Stephens (sitarist, living and performing in the LA an San Francisco areas) and Caitlin Saylor Stephens (playwright, living and breathing in Brooklyn) are terrified by the fact that their mother still engages in competitive three-day eventing. When she's not jumping immovable obstacles at 35 mph on a horse, Julia is at her desk. And when she's not at her desk, she's at the piano, a childhood passion she has re-visited in recent years. Julia is currently busy making music poetry videos with her son, John, and poet and videographer, Adam Tedesco.
