Author's Bio

The oral tradition plays an integral part in my work and I have read my work in diverse venues ranging from Smith College to the M. H. de Young Museum to Intersection for the Arts to the Malcolm X JazzArts Festival to Art & Soul Oalkand to La Pena Cultural Center. I'm currently experimenting with formal poetry and persona, including dramatic monologue. As an instructor, I've developed the Write in Peace workshop series which focuses on developing depth and power in writing. In addition, I'm an instructor at John F. Kennedy University.
