Author's Bio

Born in Birmingham, England and immigrated to the United States with my parents.    Educated in Northern New Jersey, American University and Drew University.   Have worked in public relations in New York City, research at the Urban Institute in DC, middle school teacher and librarian in schools.  Have had nonfiction published in The New York Times and several local publications, researched and written three biographies for Past and Promise, Notable New Jersey Women, Rutgers University Press, one of which was chosen to be included in The Encyclopedia of New Jersey.  I’ve studied with Pulitzer Prize winning poets:  Henry Taylor at American University and Stephen Dunn at the Artist Teacher Advanced Poetry Institute at Stockton State College.  Worked with Carol Muske and Sidney Offit at the New School.  My poetry has been published in fourteen different publications and I was asked to read my work at the Princeton Arts Council.  Published two books of historical fiction - So Much More and Pawn of Fate.
