Author's Bio

Elan writes novels, screenplays, and essays on this and that in the HuffPost and elsewhere. His debut novel, Finding Bluefield, was published in September 2012. He received an MFA from UMass Amherst and a BA from Binghamton. Elan has taught writing and literature at colleges, at-risk youth, was the writer for the president of a Wesleyan University and a writer for Clark University, has led community based writing workshops, coached high school varsity baseball, was a weekend radio news guy, and a short order cook.
