The Dallas Fort-Worth Writers’ Workshop hosted its sixth annual writers’ conference from May 4 to May 5 at the Hurst Convention Center in Hurst, Texas. The conference featured workshops in fiction and creative nonfiction; panels and workshops with editors, publishers, and agents; craft lectures, and marketing presentations. Participating writers included fiction writers David Corbett and Deborah Crombie; and creative nonfiction writer Mike Capuzzo, as well as agents Evan Gregory (Ethan Ellenberg Literary Agency), Molly Jaffa (Folio Literary Management), Natalie M. Lakosil (Bradford Literary Agency) and editor Glenn Yeffeth (Ben Bella Books). The registration fee, which included meals, parking, access to all workshops and classes, and a 10-minute session with an agent or editor, was $350 after April 4.
