The 2018 Creative Nonfiction Writers’ Conference was held from May 24 to May 26 on the campus of Point Park University in downtown Pittsburgh. The conference featured craft talks, publishing discussions, agent consultations, manuscript reviews, and networking events for creative nonfiction writers. Participating writers included Andrew Conte, Lise Funderburg, Chris Girman, Jessica Handler, Steven Kurutz, Dinty W. Moore, Virginia Morell, Meghan O’Gieblyn, Michael Rosenwald, Anjali Sachdeva, and Barrett Swanson; participating publishing professionals included Jenn Baker (Electric Literature), Robyn K. Coggins (University of Pittsburgh), Lee Gutkind (Creative Nonfiction), Hattie Fletcher (Creative Nonfiction), Stephen Knezovich (Creative Nonfiction), Aadam Soorma (Whom Creative), and Becky Tuch (Review Review). The cost of the conference was $415 ($175 for students). A limited number of agent consultations and manuscript reviews were available for an additional $50 to $450.
