The Constance Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts offers two- and four-week residencies from May to September to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers at the Saltonstall Arts Colony, located on 200 rural acres seven miles from Ithaca, New York. The residency accommodates up to five writers at a time. Applicants who are residents of New York State and at least 21 years old are eligible. Writers are provided with a stipend ($250 for two-week residencies, $500 for four-week residencies), vegetarian dinners, groceries, and a private living and work space, including a private bath. Using the online application system, submit up to 15 pages of poetry or up to 30 pages of prose, a résumé, a writer’s statement, and contact information for two references by January 2, 2017.
