The 27th annual Chicago Humanities Festival was held from October 29 to November 12 at venues throughout Chicago. The theme for the 2016 festival was “Speed.” The annual event featured panel discussions, performances, and readings. Participants included fiction writer Yaa Gyasi and nonfiction writers Thomas Friedman and Gloria Steinem. Tickets to most events ranged from $10 to $20. Visit the website for more information.
