The 2021 Bread Loaf Translators’ Conference was held from June 3 to June 9 in the Green Mountains of Ripton, Vermont. The conference, designed for both emerging and established translators, featured translation workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as lectures, craft classes, meetings with editors and agents, and readings by faculty and guests. The faculty included translators Jennifer Croft and Achy Obejas. The special guest was translator Madhu H. Kaza. Tuition was $2,515, which included lodging and meals. The fee for auditors who do not have a manuscript was $2,140. Financial aid was available. Writers submitted up to eight pages of translated poetry or no more than 4,000 words of translated prose with the original work and a $20 application fee by February 15.
