The Atlantic Center for the Arts offers three-week interdisciplinary residencies to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers on a 69-acre ecological preserve in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Residents are provided with studio space and private lodging, and attend two-hour daily meetings with a Master Artist. The October 13 to November 2 residency was led by poet Joy Harjo. The residency fee was $900, which included lodging and most meals. Financial aid was available. Using the online application system, writers submitted 10 pages of poetry, a curriculum vitae, a letter of intent, and a short bio with a $25 application fee by May 12.
