Author's Bio

Anna Scotti is a poet, writer, and teacher living in Southern California. Her short stories appear regularly in Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine and elsewhere.  Her poetry can be found in The New Yorker and various literary journals. She is the author of the award-winning young adult novel Big and Bad. A former journalist, Anna has written for many national and regional magazines. She has received a number of prizes, nominations, and distinctions for her work, which has been singled out for praise by Robert Pinsky, the late Thomas Lux, Patricia Smith, Aimee Liu, Nikky Finney, James Poissant, the late Chris Ransick, and other notables.
