The fifth annual Publish & Promote Your Book Conference for poets, fiction writers, and nonfiction writers will be held on June 23 at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York. The conference features panels and pitch sessions with agents, editors, and other publishing professionals. Participating publishing professionals include editors Josh Kendall (Mulholland Books/Little, Brown), Christine Pride (Simon & Schuster), and Laura Van Der Veer (Little A); and agents Barbara Braun (Barbara Braun Associates), Jennifer Carlson (Dunow, Carlson & Lerner Literary), Andrea Cascardi (Transatlantic Agency), Kerry D’Agostino (Curtis Brown), Jess Dallow (Brower Literary & Management), Cherise Fisher (Wendy Sherman Associates), Merrilee Heifetz (Writers House), Sara Henry (Sobel Weber Associates), Nicole James (Chalberg & Sussman), Jeff Kleinman (Folio Literary Management), and Stacy Testa (Writers House). The cost of the conference is $425, which includes lunch. Pre-conference “Prep for Your Pitch” sessions will be held on June 12 and June 22; pitch sessions are available for an additional $75. The general registration deadline is June 23; registration for pitch sessions with agents is first come, first served. Lodging is available at the nearby Arbuckle Lodge, beginning at $89 per night.
