The 2017 Sag Harbor Creative Nonfiction Writers Conference was held from November 2 to November 5 in Sag Harbor, New York. The conference featured workshops in essay, biography, memoir, and narrative nonfiction, as well as talks by agents and marketing professionals. The faculty included creative nonfiction writers Donna Kaz, Patricia McCormick, Judson Merrill, Matt Pasca, and Roger Rosenblatt. Participating publishing professionals include editor Alex Hess (Skyhorse Publishing); publicist Michelle Blankenship; and productivity coach Sandra Yin. The cost of the conference, which included all meals, is $1,200 with shared lodging, $1,500 with private lodging, and $1,600 with lodging in a two-bedroom suite. Using the online submission system, writers submitted an excerpt of a longer work or an essay of up to 4,000 words with a $12 application fee by August 4.
