The 2021 North Carolina Writers’ Network Fall Conference was held from November 19 to November 21 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Durham. The conference featured classes in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as conversations and panel discussions on the craft and business of writing. The faculty included poets Tyree Daye, Mimi Herman, and Han VanderHart; fiction writers Mesha Maren, Daniel Wallace, and Barbara Claypole White; and creative nonfiction writers Georgann Eubanks, Marianne Gingher, and Cat Warren. Participating publishing professionals included agents Maggie Cooper (Aevitas Creative Management), Tracy Crow (Tracy Crow Literary Agency), Kim Lindman (Stonesong), and Cassie Mannes Murray (Howland Literary). Poet Jaki Shelton Green delivered the keynote. Some classes were made available for online participation. The cost of the full conference was $400 ($275 for NCWN members).
