The Mineral School offers two-week residencies from June 17 to July 1, from July 15 to July 29, and from August 19 to September 2 to eight poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers in Mineral, Washington, near Mount Rainier. Residents are provided with a private room, work space, and meals. The cost of the residency is $425. Three fellowships covering all residency fees and travel expenses are available for writers from the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada. One fellowship covering all residency fees and some travel expenses is available for a woman writer over age forty living in Massaachusetts, New York, Oregon, or Washington. Using the online submission system, submit up to 20 pages of poetry or up to 10,000 words of prose, a project statement, and short bio with a $25 application fee by February 15.
