The sixth annual LDStorymakers & Indie Author Hub Midwest Writers Conference was held from September 21 to September 22 in Kansas City, Missouri. The conference featured workshops in fiction, creative nonfiction, publishing, and book marketing, as well as manuscript consultations and pitch sessions, for writers who were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The faculty included fiction writers Don Carey, Danyelle Ferguson, Victorine E. Lieske, Gregg Luke, Heather B. Moore, and Janette Rallison; and nonfiction writer Lynn Parsons. Tuition was $160 until July 15 and $175 thereafter and on site. The optional Friday Bootcamp/Publication Primer was available for an additional $55, which included lunch. Pitch sessions with Monster Ivy Publishing were available for an additional $20. Lodging was available at the conference hotel for discounted rates. Visit the website for more information.
